Travis is a Research & Development Chemist III at Nephron Pharmaceuticals in Orlando, FL. His job responsibilities include developing new methods for manufacturing, preparing new products for market, and reverse-engineering existing products for generic manufacturing. Travis began as a laboratory intern and wanted to attain a higher level of knowledge and advance his career. Brian has a BA in biochemistry and earned his master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from UF’s online program. He has worked in pharmaceutical development for 25 years and is the Vice President of Product Development at CoreRx in Clearwater, FL. After 20 years out of school, Brian started UF’s online program in pharmaceutical chemistry with just one course. From there, he was hooked on learning and being in the (virtual) classroom again. Having a master’s degree from the University of Florida gave Brian credentials in his company and has been an asset to his career. In this brief interview, Brian talks about how he got back into school mode and shares his tips for success.
Rosalyn maintains and manages registrations for drug products in Asia and Australia for a large, global pharmaceutical company. Rosalyn was looking for an educational program that would fit into her busy life and help her gain a better understanding of different drug therapies. Because of her complex role, a master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry was a great fit for Rosalyn. Britton Ernst completed much of UF’s online master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from China, where he was working as a teacher.
